Arkin and a.s.r. are the first to sign a 2025 agreement for mental health care

Arkin and a.s.r. have entered into an agreement for mental health care for 2025, well ahead of the NZa's deadline of 12 November. For Arkin and a.s.r., it is the first time that there is already a contract for mental health care for the new year at the beginning of September. This step intensifies the collaboration between Arkin and a.s.r. and provides clarity to a.s.r.'s policyholders.

Increasing demand for mental health care

In the coming years, the demand for care and the staff shortage within the mental health care sector will continue to increase. This means that mental health care must be organized differently. "By concluding agreements with health insurers in a timely manner, Arkin can focus as much as possible on the changes that are needed to keep healthcare accessible and affordable, especially in the field of complex care," says Paul Broersen of Arkin.

Close cooperation

"The challenges we have now, but also in the future, within healthcare can only be solved in close cooperation between healthcare provider and health insurer," says Inge IJzerman, Healthcare Buyer a.s.r. "The starting point of the agreement concluded is to keep specialized mental health care accessible to our policyholders. We are pleased that we were able to conclude an agreement for 2025 in the summer, so that our policyholders know in good time where they can go."
