Room for growth and recovery
WRAP training
WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) is a personal plan for recovery that was developed in America by Mary Ellen Copeland, an experience expert. WRAP helps to regain control of your life, if it has been disrupted by major events.
The WRAP group is supported by experienced facilitators who have also gone through a recovery process themselves.
During 9 sessions of 2 hours, you will explore what influence you can exert on a good feeling. And with this you fill a personal toolbox that you can start using in your daily life.
Power
The course focuses on strength instead of complaint by starting from hope, personal responsibility, personal development, standing up for yourself and giving and receiving support. These are key concepts of recovery. So the plan is based on what a student does well.
Group feeling
Working on the WRAP in a group has great added value. Together you think about what is needed for you to be able to work well. By exchanging experiences in groups, you learn from each other. Together you come up with wonderful ideas that can be incorporated into your life. Experiences of others can be supportive and inspiring.
Components of WRAP are: Feel-good toolbox, Daily maintenance, Triggers and Action Plan, Early Warning Signs and Action Plan, Signs of Derailment and Action Plan, Crisis Plan, Post-Crisis Plan.
For whom?
If you want to work on yourself after you have gone through a drastic change in your life. When do you think you are doing well and how do you ensure that it continues to go well?
