Mental health education
The Prevention Department provides information about mental health. The information in the information meetings is specially tailored to different target groups such as adults, the elderly, people with a non-Western background or family and loved ones.
All kinds of topics can be discussed, such as: psychosocial problems, stress, sadness or anxiety. During the information session, we pay attention to:
- Relationship between physical and psychological complaints.
- (Early) identification and recognition of psychological complaints.
- The influence of psychological complaints on health and daily life.
- Skills, tips and exercises to improve the situation yourself.
- Information about mental health care or possible treatments.
Practical information
- How often? 1 to 2 meetings of 2 hours at a time.
- Where and how? Arkin Prevention's information takes place at various locations in Amsterdam, such as community centers.
- Costs: The information is free.
