Regional table for highly complex mental health care

Some clients have a highly complex mental health care demand and are currently unable to go to the right place. In the Amsterdam region, the regional case table has been started to better help people with highly complex care needs. These are people for whom, despite help from providers and care mediation from the health insurer, no suitable assistance has been found. For example, because they have multiple conditions or need different types of care at the same time. In addition, they have problems in several areas of life such as work and income.

Announce

Patients, healthcare institutions in the Amsterdam region, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, general practitioners and health insurers can now register via the central registration desk for the Amsterdam region. This can be done by registering for highly complex mental health care.

We ask you to fill in and send the registration form and the consent form when registering.

Inclusion criteria

Patients who need an integral, tailor-made offer must meet the following nationally established inclusion criteria:

  1. Patients with multiple intertwined psychiatric conditions;
  2. Treatment objective is present and achievable (can also mean: more care-oriented treatment, recovery-oriented);
  3. Connection between multiple disorders in combination with systemic problems/multiple life domains;
  4. Threat of serious danger of physical injury and/or death;
  5. Extensive process of (specific) treatments has been followed;
  6. Exceptional treatment regimen is needed to 4) prevent and 2) initiate;
  7. Care is scarce, intensive and expensive, supply is not easy to scale up (customization is key).

Tailor-made treatment

The main goal of the Regional Case Table is that patients with highly complex care needs receive tailor-made treatment with priority. That is why a national network of healthcare providers and health insurers has been started especially for this group of patients, which provides a tailor-made solution.

Large mental health care providers have a leading role in this approach. Arkin is in charge of the mental health case table in the Amsterdam region. If a suitable care offer has been found or developed for the patient in question, the health insurer will provide the financing.

The regional case table Amsterdam for highly complex mental health care is a collaboration between Arkin, GGZ InGeest, Parnassia Groep, De Viersprong, Vitaalpunt, Mentaal Beter, AVVP, ELAA, GAZO, Clientenbelang Amsterdam and Zilveren Kruis.
