A central place for young people in crisis situations

From September, families in a crisis situation in the Amsterdam-Amstelland region will be able to go to 1 place. This crisis service for youth is a collaboration between Arkin (mental health care) and Levvel (youth care), with a far-reaching collaboration with Safe Home. The 24/7 service focuses on young people who have to deal with acute psychiatry, insecurity and parenting and growing up problems. Or with acute situations due to (mild) intellectual disabilities or addiction problems within the family.

The youth crisis service combines the strengths of various domains, including youth care, (youth) mental health care, (L)VB and addiction. This makes care for young people less fragmented.

The crisis team will start in phases in September 2024 and will work from the location Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat 38 in Amsterdam.
